Game Gift Basket
Keeping with the gift basket theme, here’s a fun idea for a wedding shower, birthday, or another special event: a games-filled gift basket.
Recently, I was invited to a couple’s shower for good friends of both me and my husband. (They actually were the maid of honor and the best man at our wedding….oh, for cute!) Since they are both really good friends of ours, I wanted to get them something special. Not to knock a registry, but with close friends I like to do something a little more personal. I scoured the internet (*cough* Pinterest) and found a few ideas and ultimately narrowed it down to one. Enter…the fun and games gift basket.
My husband and I went shopping. First stop…Dollar Tree to get the basket. Then, off to Wal-Mart to get as many games as our budget allowed. You could go anywhere you like to get the games (even Goodwill), but I researched and found for new games Wal-Mart was the best bang for our buck. Then, stuff that basket as full as you can. We did only games, but you could also add some snacks or treats.
Our basket included: Life, Scattergories, Scrabble, a couple decks of cards, and Jenga. We tried to go for the classics, but you can pick whatever is most suitable for the couple.
Finally, I wanted to give it a little bit of flair, so I made this card to attach to the basket.
Here’s a link to the gift basket tag. It’s editable, so you can insert the name of the couple and even change the saying to fit the event. Please make sure to copy it to your own Drive and then make changes from there.
